Resume Builder

How this tool handles your data.

Last updated 2 September 2026. This covers the Resume Builder specifically and sits alongside the Gybe Consulting privacy policy, which governs how we handle personal information generally.

Draft, not yet approved. The recipient address, retention period and privacy contact below are proposed defaults. Gybe must confirm them, and POLICY_CONFIRMED must be set to true in src/lib/policy-config.ts, before this page is published.

The short version

Your resume is built and kept in your own browser. We do not create an account for you and we do not receive your draft. The one exception is the AI features: when you ask for a suggestion, the relevant text is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate it. Nothing goes to a Gybe consultant unless you press the button at the end that sends it.

What is stored, and where

  • In your browser. Everything you type is held in this device's local storage so you can close the tab and come back. It is not encrypted beyond your device's own protections, so treat a shared or public computer accordingly.
  • In the file you download. The save file contains your full resume. Once it is on your device it is yours to manage, and we have no copy of it.
  • Not on our servers. The service that handles AI requests processes them and returns the result. It does not write your resume to a database or a log.

When your text leaves your device

The AI features cannot run in your browser, so the text they act on is sent to a provider for processing. This happens when you ask the tool to read a CV you have pasted, suggest a rewrite of a bullet point, or run the final review. It does not happen while you are simply typing.

  • Moonshot AI for reading your CV and drafting suggested wording.
  • Anthropic for the single final review pass over your finished resume.

We send the smallest amount of context each feature needs rather than your whole resume, and we ask providers not to retain it or train on it. We cannot make a guarantee on their behalf. You can build a complete resume without using any AI feature, as every field can be filled in and edited by hand.

If you send your resume to Gybe

At the end you may choose to send your finished resume to a Gybe consultant. That is the only action that transfers your resume to us, and it is never automatic. If you do, it is sent to hello@gybeconsulting.com.au and handled as a candidate application, retained for 24 months from the date you send it, then deleted. It is handled under the Gybe privacy policy, including how we may contact you about opportunities.

Cookies, analytics and fonts

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies here. Local storage is used to hold your draft, which is what makes the tool work at all. Fonts are served from this domain rather than a third party, so opening this page does not tell anyone else that you visited it.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

While your resume is only in your browser, you control it directly: clearing this site's data removes it, and there is nothing for us to delete because we never had it. If you have sent your resume to us, you can ask for a copy, a correction, or its deletion by contacting hello@gybeconsulting.com.au. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our response.

Children

This tool is intended for people in or entering the workforce and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to how submitted resumes are handled will also be reflected in the Gybe privacy policy.
